Engine Mount inspection is critical to long term safe operation.

The Tiger steel tube engine mount has a proclivity to crack at the cross tube between the lower legs, at the ends of the tube that passes under the carburetor.

This may be an area that is looked at during engine OH, but it should be checked with dye penetrant at each annual. As the fleet ages, the stresses on this area over the years have increased the likelihood that cracks will develop.
