Talk:Structural Repair
From Bondline
More structural repair topics will be added, time permitting. Got any requests?
Moved Gil's comments to the end, rather than having them in the middle of my explanation.
Thanks Bob... I wrote it quickly this morning... I'll clean up the text and add some pictures by this weekend.... gil A
Third Person Works Better
It's better if you write things up in third person: "Gil Alexander took a different approach ..."
And please don't "sign" your contributions, e.g. Gil Alexander. The wiki keeps a complete history of who contributed what.
I believe readers are more likely to jump in and edit if they don't feel someone else "owns" the text.
Don't Use Placeholders
Please omit placeholders like "<to be continued>" and "<pictures to follow>." Instead, just add more as you have time.
Those placeholders give the article an unfinished look, even though it's valuable as soon as it's published. And, again, the placeholders give the reader the impression that someone else "owns" the text.
No problem.... I'll just make it less "chatty" and personal. gil A
